What's the Future You Are Shaping?

In this highly connected and interdependent world, our individual and collective decisions and actions are having greater impact on each other, on organisations, and on the planet. Each of us is shaping, building and impacting the world’s future by the way we vote, the way we live, and the way we consume.

What are YOU trying to achieve and build? What is it you want for yourself, your family, your stakeholders, and future generations?

Your wishes exist in a world with other people's wishes! Those wishes may have different philosophies, beliefs, values, and priorities, and they are changing all the time. If you aren't clear about the type of world and future you are trying to build, then you could just be a pawn in someone else’s vision, you could drift to a place you don't want to be, and be someone you don't like, and cause negative impact on others. Assuming responsibility for your wishes whilst constructively challenging and engaging with the success and wellbeing of others, the community and the planet is the task.

We are at a critical juncture in human history. Even though great human progress has been made over the centuries with regard to poverty, life expectancy, education and literacy, there is still extreme inequality, and we are destroying our planet through unsustainable consumption. How this juncture is addressed depends on all of us.

How can you be working more creatively with others?

Maybe there is something you don't like about the status quo, or you feel concerned about the future and you want to challenge habitual ways of doing things, values, beliefs, biases and work with others to think creatively about how to create the future you want. You might not like the way things are going at present, but leaders are human, and all us humans can fall prey to biases, assumptions, thinking errors, and be swayed by short-termism and powerful stakeholder groups.  It takes courage and skill to 'speak truth to power' and to change the status quo and help people address threats, see opportunities or to focus on their strengths.

Life is very difficult and unfair for the majority of the world’s population. And it can be extremely difficult to think and act beyond survival mode for self and family. However, it’s only when each of us put our head up, challenge the status quo, and look for new ways of doing things and living that real progressive change happens for the majority and for the planet’s sustainability.

That's where we can help.

We can help you make the difference you want to make

At maximy, our mission is to support people, at all levels, to be the Best Possible Leaders they can be. We define a leader in today's world as a person who effectively enables success & wellbeing for themselves, others, organisations and the wider community. That is an evolution of the thinking of leadership of old. We collate leading-edge science and create evidence-based interventions so that YOU have a valuable resource – coaches, courses, tools, tips – on how to realise your dream.

We can help you:

  • Envision the world and future you want to shape and influence
  • Define what success & wellbeing mean to you across all the roles you have in life
  • Decide and learn how to contribute more easily to the success & wellbeing of others, organisations and the wider community (including the planet).

Why is this important? Because research shows us that it will enable you to enjoy:

  • Greater purpose and meaning in life
  • Making better decisions and take more mindful actions
  • Being better able to connect to people with similar visions, values and goals
  • Feeling more confident, with increased motivation and determination
  • Challenging senior leaders effectively
  • Finding your voice.

How we can help you and your teams create success & wellbeing

We take leaders, at all levels, through the following tried-and-tested stages:

  1. Examine the concepts of success & wellbeing and what they mean to them.
  2. Analyse what has shaped their success & wellbeing in all the roles they take in their lives, evaluate them, prioritise what needs to change and create goals.
  3. Explore and challenge their beliefs, values, mindsets, ways they manage their personality, their view of their intelligence, how they regulate their emotions and motivations.
  4. Set their ambitions, with different kinds of goals. Plan, test, revise different ways of being that meet their goals.
  5. Discover what success & wellbeing mean to their stakeholders and using the same analysis, evaluation, setting of goals as they did on themselves, help others.
  6. Define success & wellbeing and envision the future they want to shape for their immediate community and the world.

This is big bold work. Are you ready?
